Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Reviews and negotiates company-wide commercial agreements for various scopes of work</li><li>Identifies, drives, and implements suitable procurement approaches to deliver lowest total cost&nbsp;and cost savings strategies across the organization</li><li>Negotiates contracts and reviews opportunities to reduce costs using negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods</li><li>Understands and applies business tools (financial, logistical, commercial, risk, cost analysis, etc.) to attain desired results</li><li>Identifies and executes purchasing opportunities through internal stakeholder collaboration and external market research</li><li>Ensures that corporate procurement policy and procedure is being followed</li><li>Develops and establishes category management in accordance with the overall best practices, procurement strategy, processes and procedures and ensures category management delivers against targets and objectives</li><li>Develop skills and knowledge to become subject matter expert in managed spend categories</li><li>Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities, assessing current and future business processes for best work practice, as well as innovative procurement solutions that provide cost savings and process efficiencies for the organization</li><li>Establishes strong business relationships with key business partners and clients across Operating Units and external organizations</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Seven or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Humanities or related field.</li><li>Five or more years of experience negotiating contracts and/or managing the Request For Proposal (RFP) process.</li><li>Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, including oral presentations, formal correspondence and contractual documentation, group facilitation, and negotiations.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;hybrid.&nbsp;The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and&nbsp;reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.&nbsp;</li><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li></ul>About Southern California EdisonThe people at SCE don't just keep the lights on.
